About

Beartooth Passive House was created out of the desire to move a family of four back home in order to enjoy the simplicities of life.  Instead of raising two children in the ever increasing pace of city life, we chose to move back to the small town in which we grew up.  Early in the process of deciding what type of home to build, we stumbled upon Passive House.  After more than two years of research, education, design, and planning, Beartooth Passive House was formed.  Its first full-scale project will be building the home in which we will spend the rest of our lives.  Please join us in the journey…

Beartooth Passive House is owned and managed by Tully Gallagher.  Tully was born and raised in the small town of Red Lodge, MT.  After graduating high school, he moved to Golden, CO to attend the Colorado School of Mines.  After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree and an Engineering and Technology Management Master’s, Tully went to work in the oil and gas industry.  After 10 years of living in Denver and working oil and gas, he and his family made the decision to move back to Red Lodge to pursue a slower pace of life.  Prior to moving back to Red Lodge, Tully began learning and educating himself on Passive House building techniques.  In May 2017, he became a Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) after passing the international exam.  Beartooth Passive House was formed in 2017 and has the goal of creating long lasting, durable, high performance homes built to the Passive House standard that will last for generations.
